Major World Events [18]




President Cuasuescu executed the overthrowing of Romanian Communism
Panama was invaded by the US troops on 20th December 1989
The dominance of Communism was ended by Czech Parliament on 30th November 1989

    
The Berlin wall was open to the Western world on 11th Novemeber 1989

In the Tiananmen Square demonstration thousands of Chinese died (04-06-1989)   

A Pan-American boeing 747 was exploded by Terrorist attack in Lockerbie, Scotland and 270 persons died (21-12-1988)   

The Free Trade agreement between Canada & US was executed (02-01-1988)

A serious accident happened in the Chernobyl nuclear powerstation (26-04-1986)
   

On 1st January 1986 Portugal & spain joined the European Economic Community (EEC)   

Mikhail Gorbachev was elected as the leader of soviet Union on 11th March 1985
